Terry School Board 5.jpg

Here’s a letter that recently appeared in the Mankato Free Press (8/29/06):

As a professor of mathematics for 28 years, I am acutely aware of how the school districts of our state and country must focus upon educating students more deeply in math and science if we are to remain competitive with other countries in technological expertise and innovation.

Recently, St. Peter was praised several times at the Minnesota School Board Association meeting as being the first district in the state to make the decision to require four years of mathematics/science. I give much of the credit for this and other positive developments in our district to the St. Peter school board, and in particular to Terry Morrow for his dedication and leadership as Chair of the board.

I believe that Morrow would bring to St. Paul the dedication, leadership and integrity that he has shown here in our area, and would be an extremely effective representative for us if we gave him the chance. His legal background, coupled with his people skills developed through years of teaching and leadership experience, will serve us well in the House.
He has always been a generous and caring community member dedicated to improving the lives of others, and it is this dedication to public service that lies at the heart of Morrow’s candidacy for state representative.

The election this coming November provides us with a great opportunity to achieve effective representation in St. Paul.
